First, I would like to thank the other 22 FCMA members and 7 junior members who made the trip to Oklahoma for Mark Rape's funeral.  I know there were many more that wished they could have been there if the situation pemitted.

On behalf of Mark's family, I would like to personally thank each and every one of you who have showed support in their time of loss.  It has ment so much to Dan and Lillian to know that Mark ment so much, to so many people.

On a personal note, I would like to thank everyone who has called Vicki and myself and checked on us. Thank you very much.

Mark was more than my friend  he was my Brother.  Besides my wife and kids, he was the first person I spoke to every day.  When I had a problem, Mark would help me figure it out.  When I was pissed, Mark would always know what to say to calm me down.  Just knowing Mark made me a better person. I saw the way that he always helped everyone that needed a hand, and never expected anything in return.  No matter what Mark helped you with, when you asked him what you owed him he would say "you don't owe me nothing" and if you persisted he would say "well next time bring me a six pack  and we'll call it even."  If someone would call Mark for anything he would drop what he was doing to go help them. I know we lose people every day, but this is the closest person I have ever lost.  

Two years ago Mark sponsered Vicki and myself in to the FCMA, and I am very proud to be a member of this association.  Over the past two years I have gained some good friends being in the FCMA, and I want all of you brothers and sisters to know that you are not just my friends, you are my family.

I do not want anyone to ever see what I saw in my mirrors on March 12, 2008, so please watch the roads out there.  Missouri has a lot of bad roads, so please be safe.
